What is Glitter Art Japan？
Created in 2021 by Ms. Mami Nomura, an artist and Japanese calligraphy instructor living in Japan,
Glitter Art Japan is a new way of art expression as follows:
- It doesn’t matter if you think your handwriting is not great.The writing method used in Glitter Art Japan is a new method of writing using brush pen.It allows anyone to freely express their feelings by using a brush pen.In Glitter Art Japan Basic Course, you will not only learn the techniques of writing with a brush pen but also how to express your writings artistically.
- After learning the writing techniques, you will learn the ways to add sparkle to your words by decorating with glitter. Just by looking at your decorated words, you will feel excited and energized.
- With your completed artworks, you can delight your loved ones by gifting them your precious artworks.Please share your joy with the people around you.
- “Glitter Art Japan” is a new form of art that can bring more happiness into your daily life.
＊Makiko Nakagawa from Studio MK is the first instructor to teach the English Course of Glitter Art Japan outside of Japan.

Course Information
Basic Course
Venue: Studio-MK in 油麻地
●Duration: To be held over 1 day, 10am – 6pm
(Including 1hr lunch break & 2x short breaks)
●Contents: You will create 4~5 artworks by learning how to write with a brush pen and decorate the words with glitter.
●Prerequisite: Anyone can participate in this lesson! You do not need any experience in art or calligraphy.
●Maximum Class Size: 8 pax
●What you can do after completing Basic Course: You can apply for the Advance Course and be a certified instructor.
Advanced Course
Venue: Studio-MK in 油麻地
●Duration: To be held over 1 day, 10am – 6pm
(Including 1hr lunch break & 2x short breaks)
●Contents: You will create 3~4 artworks by learning how to arrange a single word and a phrase. With a brush pen and glitter decoration, you will learn how to arrange them into the artistic style of Glitter Art Japan.
●Prerequisite: You need to complete the Basic Course.
●Maximum Class Size: 8 pax
Instructor Course
If you want to become a Glitter Art Japan instructor,
You need to apply the instructor Course.
●What you can do after completing Instructor Course for Instructor Certification:

- GAJ workshops
- GAJ Basic Course
- GAJ Advanced Course
* Only those who applied for Instructor Certification after completing Advanced Course may teach
*Details of instructor commercial activities will be shared during lesson
- Contents = Create and submit 6 Artworks. (Independent study at home)
Create 2 Artworks = same style of Basic Course.
Create 4 Artworks = same style of Advanced Course.
We’ll provide you with the textbooks and materials you need to create your artworks.
Once you completed and submitted your artworks, I’ll certify you as an instructor of Glitter Art Japan.

As all materials have to be ordered from Japan before delivering to your home address, we seek your understanding that the registration deadline has to be set much earlier to avoid any possible delays.
* After the Basic Course, you may apply for the Advanced Course if you wish to be a certified instructor.
